TACT-TOURS is a Chennai based travel agency set up in 1983 to provide travel and transport related services for companies, businessmen, individuals and tourists. Our services include travel ticket reservations, tourist car / coach rentals and cargo shipping to the Andamans. In 1984, we started our package tour services to cater to domestic and foreign tourists who wish to see India and neighbouring countries.
We specialise in taking tourists to fascinating holiday destinations by the most economical, interesting and comfortable means of travel which will provide "the real touring experience".Apart from our regular tours to the Andamans, nepal ,Bhutan,South East Asia & Sri Lanka we also conduct specialised group tours to all places in India.
Our cruise tours to the Andamans and overland tours to Bhutan in 1984 were pioneering in nature and even today we are the front runners in conducting tours to these destinations. In fact, we were the first to conduct organised tours by chartered ferry to some of the most exotic and remote islands in the Andamans and also to interior Bhutan by chartered mountain buses (after this Himalayan Kingdom opened its doors to international tourism about three decades ago). Also from 1984 to 2002, we have chartered a total of 84 helicopter trips to take tourists from Pokhara to Mukthinath (a Hindu pilgrimage centre in Nepal, which is a record of sorts for a travel agency from South India. In April 2006, TACT-TOURS became one of the first tour operators from India to conduct a group tour by land from Bangkok to Singapore via the newly introduced visa-on-arrival land border at Sadao, Southern Thailand.In May 09 TACT TOURS joined a select few tours operators from Chennai who have conducted group tours to China. Further ,we have now tied up with Taj Tours,a reputed tour operator in Europe (on coach share agreement ) and as such,intending tourists can avail our package tours to Europe as well at most competitive prices with specialised facilities for indian tourists.
